DESCRIPTION:The Queensland Conservatorium Saxophone Orchestra proudly present a range of music from the frankly strange to the singable and even dancable. From collaborative projects exploring the nuances and quirks of the instrument, to Cloud Tan’s fantasy music based on Lemony Snicket, Vincent Plush’s ode to Follywood and George Gershwin featuring the wonderful expressiveness of Angus Bryer. In addition, Martin Kay composes a meditative work dedicated to Mark Rothko and an epic virtuosic work Flower of Tower. Classic melodies abound, including Carlos Gardel’s Por Una Cabeza. Lights, mood, saxophone, adrenaline, plus more!
