The following venues are located at our South Bank Campus: Conservatorium Theatre (CT), Ian Hanger Recital Hall (IHRH), Basil Jones Orchestral Hall (BJOH), Conservatorium Foyer (CF) and Boardroom (BR).
There are a range of parking option throughout South Bank including;
- Queensland Performing Arts Centre -Enter via Stanley Place, through the Cultural Centre Tunnel. Car parks can no longer be accessed from Melbourne Street.
- Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre – Enter via Merivale Street.
- South Bank Parklands – Enter via Little Stanley Street

Queensland Conservatorium – Performing Arts
8 Burke St, Woolloongabba
The Burke St Studio Theatre and the performing arts department are located at our Woolloongabba studios.
Limited on-street parking is available on Burke Street and the surrounding streets. We recommend taking a train to Park Road station, the studio is approximately a three minute walk from the station.

Covid-19 Information – Conditions of entry
All Qld Conservatorium Griffith University venues are currently operating at 100% capacity.
We strongly encourage mask wearing in both our theatres and foyers.
When you arrive at our venues
Our staff are here to ensure you have the best possible experience during your visit. Patrons who are not respectful and courteous will be asked to leave the venue. Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University has a zero-tolerance policy regarding abusive or aggressive behaviour towards our staff and patrons.
We thank you for your patience and understanding in these matters, and we hope you enjoy your visit.
If you are unwell
If, within the last 14 days, you have been required to isolate under laws aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19, experienced any of the symptoms related to the virus, or been in contact with anyone who has, you must not attend any performance at a QCGU venue. Likewise, if you, or a member of you household, has travelled from overseas, or to a COVID-19 hotspot within Australia in the past 14 days, you should not enter a QCGU venue. Please contact QTIX on 136 246 to arrange a refund on your tickets, should any of the above matters pertain to you.
Hand sanitizer is freely available throughout the venue. Each venue is given a thorough touchpoint clean prior to every performance. While we will continue to accept paper tickets at each venue, we urge you to opt for the “Print at Home” tickets and to have these ready on your phone for presentation to the ushers.

The Queensland Conservatorium box office is open one hour prior to the start of major performances for ticket sales and collections.
Please note we are currently only accepting eftpos at the Conservatorium box office and Burke Street box office.
Groups of 10 or more are eligible for group booking discounts for selected Conservatorium Theatre and Burke St Studio Theatre performances.

- Seniors Card
- National Seniors Card
- Members of Griffith Alumni Association
- Griffith University staff
- Parents of Young Conservatorium students
- Student (other than Griffith University students, when a student ticket price is not individually listed)
Griffith University Student Tickets
Griffith University students are entitled to free admission for concerts presented by Queensland Conservatorium at the South Bank campus excluding special events as noted on individual events. Tickets are subject to availability.
Terms and Conditions
Attendance for every event and the right of admission is reserved by the venue and any hirer of the venue.
By attending the event, you agree to the Venue’s terms and conditions of entry.
Unless otherwise specified, the use of photographic or recording devices is prohibited during performances.
Refunds, Exchanges, Cancellations and Changes
The hirer or presenter may alter or vary a performance, change performers, program or venue. Tickets will not be exchanged or refunded as a result of these changes, except provided in the Live Performance Australia (LPA) Code or as required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law)
While you may be entitled by law or under the LPA Code to a refund or exchange where the event is cancelled, neither QCGU nor the hirer will be responsible for additional expenses (i.e., the cost of travel/car parking, accommodation etc.)
COVID 19 & Ticket Refunds
QCGU will provide a refund or exchange where you advise either QCGU or QTIX, within a reasonable period of time before the event, that you or any other members of your booking party:
- a) are required to isolate or quarantine under laws aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19 (and the event falls within the isolation/quarantine period);
- b) are diagnosed as having COVID-19.
- c) exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose or loss of sense of smell) (‘COVID Symptoms’);
- d) have been in close contact with anyone displaying COVID Symptoms; or
- e) have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting the results (and the event falls within the period of awaiting test results).
- f) will be prohibited from attending the event due to not meeting government mandated vaccination requirements which were imposed after the ticket purchase; or
- g) will be unable to comply with the Venue’s conditions of entry vaccination requirements which are not government mandated, and this condition was not disclosed prior to the ticket purchase.
Under these guidelines, you will not be granted a refund if yourself or any member of your booking party is refused entry or asked to leave the venue should you have failed to comply with any of the venue’s COVID-19 safety requirements and directions.

Tickets & Seating
In keeping with the Queensland Government Guidelines, masks are no longer mandatory in our venues. We encourage you to continue to bring a mask with you for performances, as maintaining a 1.5 distance is not always possible.
As per the current venues directions with allocated ticketed venues, the Conservatorium Theatre and the Burke St Studios will continue to operate at 100 % capacity
The Ian Hanger Recital Hall and Basil Jones Orchestral Hall continue to operate at a reduced capacity.
We also ask you to continue using the Check In QLD app on arrival.
