Access Facilities

Queensland conservatorium – South Bank

The following venues are located at our South Bank Campus: Conservatorium Theatre (CT), Ian Hanger Recital Hall (IHRH), Basil Jones Orchestral Hall (BJOH), Conservatorium Foyer (CF) and Boardroom (BR).

There are a range of parking option throughout South Bank including;

Queensland Conservatorium – Performing Arts
8 Burke St, Woolloongabba

The Burke St Studio Theatre and the musical theatre department are located at our Woolloongabba studios.

Limited on-street parking is available on Burke Street and the surrounding street. We recommend taking a train to Park Road station, the studio is approximately a three minute walk from the station.

Tickets & Seating

You can book tickets for our Conservatorium Theatre and Burke St Studio Theatre performances online via the Book Now button or by calling qtix on 136 246.

Tickets are available for purchase at the qtix box office and approved qtix outlets. To find your nearest qtix box office click here.
The Queensland Conservatorium box office is open one hour prior to the start of major performances for ticket sales and collections.

Payment options
Please note due to COVID-19 we are currently only accepting eftpos at the Conservatorium box office.
Queensland Conservatorium has cash and eftpos facilities at all of our ticketed events. Please note we do not accept AMEX or Diners Club.

Group bookings
Groups of 10 or more are eligible for group booking discounts for selected Conservatorium Theatre and Burke St Studio Theatre performances. For Group bookings phone qtix group sales on (07) 3840 7466.

Queensland Conservatorium offers concession tickets (where applicable) upon presentation of identification to:

  • Seniors Card
  • National Seniors Card
  • Members of Griffith Alumni Association
  • Griffith University staff
  • Parents of Young Conservatorium students
  • Student (other than Griffith University students, when a student ticket price is not individually listed)

Griffith University Student Tickets
Griffith University students are entitled to free admission for concerts presented by Queensland Conservatorium at the South Bank campus excluding special events as noted on individual events. Tickets are subject to availability.

About Queensland Conservatorium

Established in 1957, Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU) is one of the most comprehensive tertiary music schools in Australia. Our breadth of specialist degrees encompasses pre-tertiary, undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs across two campuses, taught by world-renowned performers and teachers.
