In an amusement park on the coast of Maine, mill-worker Julie Jordan is spell-bound by the charismatic carousel barker, Billy Bigelow. Julie is not Billy’s usual type. She fascinates him. Carousel is the story of people who don’t quite fit society’s constraints. It is a story of love and marriage. A story of human failings and the legacies we leave our children. It is a story of the yearning for redemption.
