The 2023 Guitar Extravaganza will be a guitar spectacle in the truest sense, with the Australian premiere of a major new work for guitar ensemble, 50 + voice choir and percussion. The work was written by our special guest for this event, renown composer and guitarist Richard Charlton.

Riverside Guitar Ensemble will appear alongside the Con Singers choir (directed by Anthony Young) and percussionist Dara Williams for this rousing work.

The programme also features music ranging from Studio Ghibli to Django Reinhardt plus brand new works by some of our brilliant young composers from the Con. The Open Con Guitar Ensemble (conducted by Joel Woods) and Bronos Kentet will also be performing music by Richard Charlton and others.
