Mozart’s Piano

The pinnacle of refinement: dine in three delights of the classical era. Mozart adored composing piano concertos, and his Piano Concerto No. 27 is his final work of this form. Having written 26 others before it, the maturity and artistry of this concerto is, unsurprisingly, astounding. Australian pianist Daniel de Borah has a history of acclaimed Mozart interpretations, many alongside Chief Conductor Umberto Clerici, and the duo offer grace and sensitivity in their approach to this miraculous work.

Haydn’s Symphony No. 49 (La passione) is a rare touch of darkness in the composer’s catalogue, as the sombre and stormy reign supreme. But don’t worry, it’s not all serious, Rossini’s La Cenerentola Overture is bright, bold and energetic.
