Mr. Burns, a post-electric play, is a dark comedy by Anne Washburn. It tells the story of a group of survivors from a global catastrophe, who retell and re-enact the Cape Feare episode of the cult classic TV show, The Simpsons. Soon they become the hit theatrical troupe of this dark new world in this international comedy dissolving the barriers between high art and pop culture.

Please note that this is a roving performance and aspects of the performance will take place outside of the Burke Street Studios. We recommend you wear comfortable footwear. While none of the performance takes place outdoors, we recommend you arrive prepared for rain for the change of venues between acts.

This performance will also include the following:

  • moderate course language
  • loud noises
  • sudden blackouts
  • violence
  • use of firearms
  • flashing lights.
